Kelly Gaudet , Executiive Director of the Miss Miami Scholarship Pageant,  got her first taste of pageantry in 1984, when the Miss Universe Pageant was held in Miami. She was a "little sister," acting as an escort for Miss Gambia.  It was an experience that made an impact on her and launched an enjoyable and very successful career as a pageant competitor, dancer, emcee  and entainer.

Kelly won the title of Miss Florida Teen USA in 1996 and later began competing in the Miss Florida America System which better showcased her talent as a dancer and love of performing as well as providing her with greater opportunity to champion her platform of Cancer Awareness.  Participation in the Miss America System also assisted her in gaining scholarship money for her college education.

During the years she competed in the Miss Florida Pageant she held the titles of  Miss Palm Beach County 1998, Miss Miami 1999, Miss Sunshine 2000 and Miss Largo 2001 - the title she held when she became Miss Florida 2001.  Kelly represented the state of Florida beautifully by placing in the TOP TEN at Miss America and winning the Presence and Poise in Evening Wear  preliminary award.

Her scholarship earnings totaled nearly $40,000 which assisted her in earning a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Miami where she received a double majored in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science.

Kelly performed as a Miami Heat Dancer during '97-'98, '98-'99 and decided to return when the Heat acquired Shaquille O'Neal for the '04-'05 season.

She has worked as Team Recruitment Chairman and Luminary Chairman for American Cancer Society’s “Relay for Life”; spokesperson for Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center; and appeared in TV commercials

Kelly's wealth of experience in the industry makes her an outstanding resource for the contestants that participate in the Miss Miami Scholarship Pageant.  She is dedicated to the Miss Florida and Miss America Programs that she credits with making such a positive impact on her life.
